How to start freelancing from KP: your first five steps

Freelancing lets you work with clients anywhere in the world from your own home. Many young people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are already doing it. Here are five steps to start the right way.

1. Choose one skill

Pick one service you can deliver well, such as video editing, thumbnail design, AI content writing or automation. One clear skill is easier to sell than ten average ones.

2. Practise with real samples

Create three to five samples that show what a client will get. These become your first portfolio.

3. Build a professional profile

On Fiverr, Upwork or LinkedIn, use a clear photo, a simple description of who you help, and your samples. Honesty builds trust faster than big claims.

4. Set up payments

Check which payout methods your platform supports for Pakistan, and set yours up before your first order so you are ready to get paid.

5. Be consistent

Reply quickly, deliver on time and ask happy clients for reviews. Your first few reviews matter more than anything else.
